Metaphysical Healing Properties of Rutilated Quartz

Rutilated Quartz is made from quartz crystals that have rutile inclusions in them.
The rutile inclusions are usually a golden color, sometimes also seen as red or
brown.

Quartz is a common mineral that is found all over the earths surface and is a
major component in many other types of gemstones. This particular type of
gemstone, rutilated quartz, houses the ore known as rutile. Rutile is a titanium
dioxide mineral, which is a metal that is used for high tech alloys.

Rutilated quartz is a energetic stone that is said to be helpful for those dealing
with mental stresses and issues. It has a very happy energy to it that is said to
bring the person drawn to it more happiness and stability in their lives.

Metaphysically rutilated quartz is a stone for seeing higher spiritual
experiences, dream work, psychic & magickal interferences and deflecting
negative energies. Rutilated quartz is used to help move slow chakras and get
them spinning like they should be. It is also useful in general to move positive
light energy in and out the physical body.

Rutilated quartz is connected with the solar plexus chakra but is also known as
the link between the root and crown chakras. The energy that rutilated quartz
gives off is a very positive and protective energy.

Astrologically Rutilated Quartz is connected to the zodiac sun sign of
Gemini and Taurus.

Quartz is a 7.5 on the mohs scale of
hardness while rutile is a 6 on the mohs
scale of hardness. Because of the
differences in hardness with quartz and
rutile, these tumbled or polished stones
are often pitted and not completely
smooth. They are still beautiful stones that
look like they have golden hairs in the
middle of them!
