We have collectively decided to pick a topic each month and write articles to share
with everyone about that topic. Since this is a collective collaboration, and between
all of us we know a lot about many topics, we decided this would be a fun way to
get people interested in seeing just what we do and what we offer!

This month we have chosen the topic of Chakras. We have written different articles
about the chakras, how they operate and how you can keep them healthy and
working properly for you. I really enjoyed working with the girls on this and getting
everyone's creative energies flowing and writing about the chakras.
Next month's newsletter (July) will be concerning everything from the Spirit Realm,
including Fairies, Spirit guides, Angels and other Spirit Helpers, so stay tuned for
that one! It's going to be a fun newsletter to put together!

Some updates on me, Star...
I have had a busy last month getting ready for the summer and organizing some
new things on my websites.
I started working on a new part in my UnfoggingTheFuture.com website, the new
section is about learning how to read the tarot cards. I have loved tarot cards since
I was a teenager and have found them to be extremely useful when I need
guidance in a certain direction in my life. I have always held the belief that teaching
someone a skill is better then just doing it for them,,, so I decided to start working
on a section of my website that teaches the tarot. Check out

see what I have started. I plan on offering one-on-one tarot classes starting in

~ Chakra Definitions ~
Chakra is a Sanskrit word that means wheel or spinning ball.
The chakras are parts of our spiritual bodies. We have three bodies, we have our
physical body that we can all touch and feel, the emotional/mental bodies that we all
feel on the inside and a "less known" but much more important (in my opinion) a
spiritual body. I believe it is much less known or understood because it is more
subtle, more delicate then our physical or mental/emotional bodies.
There are 7 main chakras in our spiritual bodies, some say we have an eighth main
chakra in our ears as well. We have lots of other little chakras in our bodies that
some called meridians, they are what acupuncturists deal with when creating
channels throughout our bodies. So the thought and idea of these chakras is not
some "new age" idea or newly discovered thing. In fact I believe it is because of the
age we are in that people are becoming more and more aware of their spiritual
bodies as we evolve.
The 7 main chakras in our bodies all govern certain areas of our physical and
emotional self. I will go in more depth about each one of them on each individual
chakra page on my website, just click on each name of the chakra below to find more
information about each chakra.
Root chakra ~ governs your ability to feel safe and connected to this earth. When
this chakra is out of order one will feel insecure, not safe, not taken care of, I find lots
of people have this trouble with their root chakra and in my opinion we need the root
to be strong otherwise all the other chakras have a problem being on a shaky
foundation.
Sacral Chakra ~ governs your sense of taste, smell, sensuality, sexual and
reproductive organs, it also governs the pancreas, spleen and intestines. When the
sacral chakra is unbalanced one can have problems in any of these physical areas
or have trouble with their own sexuality.
Solar Plexus ~ governs your connection to "the other side", it is also said that an
ethereal cord is connected from our physical bodies and our spiritual bodies through
the solar plexus chakra. This chakra also governs the "me" part of your personality it
is the center of personal power, ambition, intellect, astral force, desire. If the root is
your foundation and the sacral your senses then the solar plexus is how you identify
yourself.
Heart Chakra ~ governs our emotions and feelings. The heart also governs our
actual physical heart, when someone has heart dis-ease it is likely they have
unresolved emotional issues as well.
Throat Chakra ~ governs our voice and creativity. When the throat chakra is open,
you will have the ability to speak your truth without worry and express yourself well.
Third Eye or Brow Chakra ~ governs out psychic sense and visions. When this
chakra is open and working properly we will likely be very in-sync with others and
things around us.
Crown Chakra ~ governs our connection to "Our Creator" however it is you define
"Our Creator". Usually this chakra is either open or closed, there is not usually an
in-between.

~ Sending Reiki Through Chakras ~
When you send Reiki through your Chakras you don't send your own Chakra
energy. You send Reiki out through your Chakras in order to give the Reiki
energy the quality of that Chakra.
Sending Reiki through your Chakras:
1. Sit or stand with both feet on the floor. Place your hands on the person
you are working on.
2. Turn Reiki on.
3. Allow Reiki to flow from your hands for a few moments.
4. Imagine Reiki also flowing through one of your Chakras and then out to
the person. Continue to send through your hands as well.
5. Imagine the Reiki flowing through your Chakra is the color of that Chakra.
a. If you are sending through your Heart Chakra imagine that the energy is
green or pink.
b. Imagine that the Reiki you are sending through your Heart Chakra has
the balanced qualities of the Heart Chakra (Unconditional Love, Compassion,
and Balanced Relationships).
c. Think the Sanskrit name of the Heart Chakra, Anahata.
d. Think or tone aloud the sound for the Heart Chakra, Yam (Yahm).
6. Feel the energy spinning in your Chakra. This may feel like a large ball
spinning through the center of your body.
7. Do this for as long as you feel the energy flowing through your Heart
Chakra.
8. You may start at the Root Chakra and go all the way up in order to do a
Chakra balancing.

So not only will you get a list of crystals for chakras that everyone can use but you will also find a list specialized for those Gemini and Cancer people out there! First and foremost I give you some great crystals that everyone can use. I like to use these all the time with my chakras. With in this list you will find crystals that are half decently easy to purchase and add to your collection and use all the time. ~ Basic Crystal Information ~
The earth has provided these beautiful, colorful pieces of itself to share with us.
There are thousands of different types and colors. Many crystals correlate to the
different chakras by the different colors of the crystals. With each stone, there
are metaphysical energy properties that are unique. This energy can be used
for things such as meditation, love, sleep, luck, and even gambling.
If you are venturing into buying and using crystals use your intuition. As you
hold a stone if you get a "feeling" it is for you, buy it. Sometimes it may take you
to hold a couple stones to get the one that "feels" right.
Once you get this stone home, it needs to be cleansed to remove any negative
energy that it may have picked up on its journey to you. There are a number of
ways to do this you choose the way that works best for you. Here are a few
different ways to try:
(Please note there are certain stones that may be damaged using water, earth
or sunlight. Check each crystal for the safest method)
Once the crystal is cleansed, it should be programmed to your needs or wants.
Just hold the crystal and request what you desire for this crystal to help you
with. Of course it should be in line with the metaphysical energy carried by this
stone.
After you have completed these steps, it is ready to use.

other methods but works well. - Breathe -- you can also expose your crystal to your breath or your light. I
have used this method in a pinch, but prefer another method for complete
cleansing. - Sea Salt Water -- Mix sea salt with water and place crystal in the bowl.

~ Sound Therapy for Chakras ~
This month's theme is Chakras. I'm sure you have read other articles within the
newsletter on what Chakras are and various tools to balance them. I am hoping this
article will enhance this knowledge by utilizing sound to balance Chakras. Now that
we know and have thought about the effects of Chakras on our Bodies, the question
might come to mind: can sounds can be utilized to balance our Chakras too?
The answer is yes.
Utilizing Musical Instruments, Tuning Forks, Crystal Bowls, Singing Bowls, Drumming,
Chanting and Toning (using your voice in a vowel tone or singing vowel tones into
the chakras) can all be used for our Chakras. But first let's talk general info on
sound and the human body and the effects of sounds on our body.
You may have heard of Dr. Emoto and the extensive scientific research he has
performed over the last decade. This research documented the relationship words
and sound have on water molecules. Dr. Emoto's research found that when certain
words were place on containers or "sounds" (music) played while water was
crystallizing, the water molecules changed form. While certain words such as "love"
or "gratitude" formed beautiful crystals, classical music produced similar effects.
Other sounds and phrases such as "I hate you" or heavy metal music produced
muddy or cloudy water crystals.
It is then interesting to think about the human body. Made up primarily of water,
about 75% what remains is also muscled water, and to think of the effects of sounds
and words on our bodies. It is even more interesting to think of sound changing and
balancing the frequency of our Chakras that in turn effect the body.
It can and it does!
Studies performed by many scientists have shown the effect of sound therapy,
toning, chanting and drumming as a balancing tool for the Chakra system. But how,
you may ask, is this measured?
Eastern societies have known for many centuries that the hands and other tools may
be utilized to sense "the unseen energy" of the body and things of this nature.
Recent studies in the West have used a variety of devices to back this knowledge
with science--devices such as a SQUID* Magnetometer, Radionics, electromagnetic
devices and other more metaphysical tools such as dowsing and pendulums.
(*SQUID= super conducting quantum interference device)
On a more basic level, I like to think about music and the effect it can have on mood
and the way I feel, either negatively or positively. Think of a song you enjoy (or not if
you wish), perhaps your favorite song on the radio, a song from childhood, a loved
classical piece or maybe drumming or chanting. Think of this song. How does it
make you feel? Or is it high symphonic sounds that fill you with a sense of
connection and oneness. Or an upbeat little ditty that creates a sense of social
belonging when heard in a social setting. Is it filled with low tones which might fill you
with sexual energy? It really is interesting to think about musical notes and tones
affecting your body.
It is more interesting because each of the chakras is energy that is vibrating at a
certain frequency or "tone," each in a logical and orderly sequence of seven
vibrations. Each of the colors of the spectrum also represents a series of seven
vibrations in a logical and orderly sequence, as do the notes of the musical scale.
Hummmm...
Interesting indeed!
Music played in a certain key vibrates a particular chakra. We feel a particular way
when we hear that note. Remember solfege?; the method of assigning syllables to
names of the musical scale: Do, Re, Mé, Fa, Sol, La, Ti. A more recent study of this
scale by David Hulse of SomaEnergetics found tuning forks can be utilized by using
a variation of this. Each of these frequencies can be used from the 1st to 7th
chakra, the tones and elements become more and more subtle, moving through the
five physical elements of earth, water, fire, air, and ether, to the spiritual elements of
inner sound and inner light. The heaviest vibrations or the longest wavelength are
on the bottom and the lightest on the top.
The following is a list of each chakra, basic area it covers, color, musical note, vowel
tones (you might speak or sing vowel tones into the chakra also can use tone
patterns besides the vowels such as: Ah Ee Oh / Eeee Ahh Ohhh / Ah EL Ee O /A E
O / ma / Ha / AUM Hey hey hey-ma ma hey hey /), tuning fork or crystal bowl musical
note and frequency which will balance it, element and intention for each Chakra. I

In ending, you can utilize a variety of musical instruments and other sound tools to
balance Chakras. There are a variety of Singing Bowls, Crystal Bowls, Bells, Wind
Chimes, and Tuning Forks to aid with this. I encourage you to remember to sing as

balance your Chakras while you're doing this! Listening to natural sounds such as
wind, water, birds and crickets are beneficial. And of course singing in the shower
really IS good for the Soul!
