Balancing with Sound ~ Anamere Albright
I would like you to think of your favorite song. How do you feel when you think
of this song? Now, lets think about musical notes and tones making you feel
good. When we hear something we like often times we want to sing along.
Our hearts might feel like singing as we lift our voices in song. I believe this is
due to the chakra balancing ability in sound.
What is interesting is that within each of the 7 chakras can befound an energy
that is vibrating at a certain frequency or “tone."Each chakra is aligned in a
logical and orderly sequence within these seven vibrations. Each of the colors
of the spectrum also represent a series of seven vibrations (also in a logical
and orderly sequence). As are the notes of the musical scale represented by
a series of seven vibrations. These unchanging vibrations (that is... as longas
our voice, piano or guitar are in tune) can be used to balance our Chakras. I
have even heard of chakra balancing with a harp. Using tools such as music
and sound to align our Chakra's is as logical as it is natural. Using a tool that
vibrates sound in a way that does not change would certainly be even better:
this is where singing bowls, tuning forks, and chimes come in use. I am
always for what comes most naturally and easiest: voice.
One way you might balance your chakras is by toning or using your voice for
sound. You might speak or sing vowel tones and also can use tone patterns
besides the vowels such as: Ah Ee Oh / Eeee Ahh Ohhh / Ah ELEe O /A E O
/ ma / Ha / AUM Hey hey hey-ma ma hey hey /. You can use tuning fork or
crystal bowl frequency near or above the chakra if these are available as well.
It is also possible to just be in the same room with a musical instrument and
feel the balancing of your chakras. In short if you are feeling your chakras are
out of balance you can use many tools to assist yourself in finding balance.
Although I always encourage others to find the cause of the imbalance in the
first place.
In ending you can utilize a variety of musical instruments and other sound tools
to balance Chakra’s. There are a variety of singing bowls, crystal bowls, bells,
wind chimes, tuning forks to aid with this. I encourage you to sing, listen and
connect through sound any way/anytime you can you might just balance your
chakra’s while your doing this! Listening to natural sounds such as wind,
water, birds and crickets are beneficial. And of courses singing in the shower
as well.It really IS good for the Soul!

Here is a green tip from Sandy Ruminski

For the bathroom:
Stick to showers, the average bath contains about 20 gallons of water,
whereas a five minute shower uses about 8 gallons of water. Save baths for a
special occasion. Keep your showers short-if you spend much longer than five
minutes in the shower you'll soon find you're using just as much water as
taking a bath. Use a timer in the bathroom to remind you when five minutes is
up. Go with a low flow shower head-which will also save water. Here's a little
fact: The average person would save 150,000 gallons of water over a lifetime
by just turning off the water while you brush your teeth.

I am a busy mom, and work from home. I have trouble finding time to
meditate and do Reiki every day, can you give me some tips on how to
incoperate that into my daily life?
Sami's answer:
The first tip that I would like to give is to set your alarm 10 minutes early. Then
you have the chance to get up before everyone else does and have a few
moments of "me" time. That is a wonderful time to do a quick chakra
balancing or meditate for a few moments. Meditation does not have to be a
long or ritualistic practice all the time.
The second tip I would like to share is, use your shower or bath time to
physically and mentally clean off all the "dirt" or negative energy from the
previous day. You can draw the Reiki symbols over the shower head or faucet
before drawing the water. Or if you are not attuned to symbols, you can
channel Reiki to those things before the water starts to flow. This way you will
have Reiki energized water to wash off that dirt and negative energy. Intention
is key to doing any type of energy work so set your intention before starting
your shower or bath and you will see some interesting results. I personally
enjoy the shower time because it is the time of the morning that I always have
to myself and it is a great way to start of end the day!
The last tip is when you get five minutes, you can mediate with any crystal that
you carry around in your pocket throughout the day. You can use the crystal or
even an affirmation to remind you to take a couple minutes here and there
throughout the day for yourself. You may be surprised at the peace and
calmness you find with just a few moments of doing something like this for
yourself throughout the day. Just keep in mind that you do not need to take a
long time or do some intense meditation for this to work.
